Strengthening Families Is a National Program

The Strengthening Families Program was first conceived at Iowa State University and featured in cities and towns across America.

In 2004, the Jairus Agency qualified for a Title V federal grant through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety, and was funded to operate this program, partnering with our home town of Middleborough for a period of 3 years.

Since then, dozens of families have graduated the 7 week program which emphasizes loving limits, healthy boundaries and effective family communication.

Directed by Pam Cordeiro, Jairus features 16 trained SFP instructors who teach the various sessions. Youth, ages 10-15 are partnered with parents and guardians in a fun, yet training-intensive atmosphere.
